RiftSight Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

RiftSight is an unofficial, fan-made set of tools for Riftbound: a browser extension for players, streamers and viewers, a Twitch Extension, and a stream-overlay page for OBS. By using RiftSight — as a viewer, a player or a streamer — you agree to these terms.

RiftSight is an unofficial fan project. RiftSight was created under Riot Games' "Legal Jibber Jabber" policy using assets owned by Riot Games. Riot Games does not endorse or sponsor this project.

What RiftSight does

For viewers: hovering over a card on a participating streamer's video shows that card's details, through the RiftSight browser extension on YouTube and twitch.tv, or with nothing to install on a Twitch channel that runs the RiftSight Twitch Extension. When the streamer chooses to share it, the browser extension also shows the streamer's deck. For players and streamers: the browser extension reads publicly visible card information from your own Rift Atlas browser tab, shows you a deck tracker and, if you choose, a match history kept on your own device, relays the public board state through RiftSight's backend to your viewers' overlays, and can, if you turn it on, send a summary of your own deck to an overlay page you add to OBS or to your viewers' Deck panel. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what data each of these involves.

Availability

Anyone watching a participating stream can use the viewer overlay with no RiftSight account. Streamer signup is open: connect a Twitch or YouTube account and publish. We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke access for any account — for example for abuse, impersonation, or claiming a channel that isn't yours — and features or availability may change or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice.

Acceptable use

Use RiftSight only in ways that comply with the terms of the platforms it runs on — Twitch's Terms of Service and Developer Agreement, YouTube's Terms of Service, and Rift Atlas's own terms — and with Riot Games' policies for fan content. RiftSight never exposes information a game is keeping hidden from you, and you may not use it, or attempt to modify it, to do so. Don't attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or abuse the service (for example, automated traffic intended to overwhelm the backend). We may suspend or revoke access — an account, a producer credential, an overlay token, or the service as a whole — for behavior that violates this or the platforms' own policies.

No warranty

RiftSight is provided "as is," free of charge, with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. Card information on participating streams is sourced from what's visibly rendered in the streamer's own Rift Atlas client at the time; card recognition on other videos, once it is available, is automated and will sometimes be wrong; the deck tracker and match history are derived from the game data your own client receives. None of it is guaranteed to be complete, current, or error-free, and none of it should be relied on to adjudicate a game. Any match history you keep lives only on your device; keep your own copies of anything you want to preserve.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RiftSight and its operators aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.

Third-party software

RiftSight includes open-source components under their own licences. Their notices ship with the extension from version 0.12.1 (THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt in the package, linked from Settings & Help) and, for the card-recognition models, beside the model files: assets.riftsight.gg/vision/NOTICES.txt.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as RiftSight develops. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date above.
